Boozhoo! Hello! and welcome!
Miigwetch! Thank you for taking the time to check out our website. We, Uncle Moses Lunham, Niece Melissa Shipman and Nephews Jeremiah Lunham & Spencer Lunham of our Lunham family. Our new store is a dream reborn! This dream first started way back in 1969 by my parents (Mervin and Gladys Lunham) who built the original store (located directly behind our new building) as a means to sell their arts and crafts. The store functioned for many years and had visitors from many places throughout the world. It was a success for many many years unfortunately a series of events derailed the store and my parents shifted more to travelling on the Pow Wow trail. However, "the store" was placed in the next generation's minds (grandchildren) and it was remembered as a business my parents had for a long long time. Efforts were made in the late 90's to bring it back but sadly, a fire destroyed the back addition to the store and that event ended our efforts to revive the store as we knew it. Many years passed and I still held onto the dream. one day....my nephew Jeremiah approached me and said "Let's start a new store. "That was the beginning of a newly constructed building directly in front of the old building. It has been quite the journey in building it and it has filled us with hope, excitement, potential and a place to share our culture and creativity. We look forward to meeting you all, Current and new inventory will be available for purchase at our "new" retail outlet located on Kettle Point First Nation.
